Ambush Walks Away as Undisputed Champs!

Oxford, AL - Ambush entered Choccolocco Park as the heavyweight and walks away as the undisputed champions of the WWE Belts Mega Rings Tournament.

Pool Game 1 - It was all ‘bush Boys from start to finish as they dominated the Tornadoes to a 17-1 win. Walker Sumerel picked up the win tossing three innings and striking out six batters. The bats we hot as well. Five Ambush player picked up two hits. Trevor Lowe, Logan Lynn and Colton Nuss all had two RBIs as well. Jack Alston had 3 RBIs on a double and a triple.

Walker Sumerel was named the Golden Glove winner for game one while Jack Alston won the Effort Chain.

Pool Game 2 - Ambush started strong but fizzled out as errors bit Ambush in multiple innings. Logan Lynn pitched a great game, however the miscues were too much for him to overcome as the boys lost 8-7 on a walkoff. Lynn struck out 5 Outlaw batters in 4 innings pitched. Trevor Lowe was the only ‘bush boy with 2 hits and Walker Sumerel and Jack Alston were the only ones to score twice.

Bracket Game 1 - Ambush was the #2 seed and took on the #3 Rampage. Davis Fuentes held them at bay for 4 straight innings, allowing only 1 run in 4 scattered hits and striking out six. Ambush scored 3 in the first and 5 in the third en route to a 9-1 victory. The offense stayed hot as 8 of 11 player collected hits and David Fuentes and Trevor Lowe scored twice. The victory advanced Ambush to the championship game!

Davis Fuentes won the Golden Glove for the semifinal win and Trevor Lowe won the Effort Chain

Championship Game - Ambush earned a shot at redemption against the Outlaws for the championship, and the ‘bush Boys did not disappoint! The boys scored 4 in the first inning on blasts from John Fox Cence and Jack Alston. The bats were not silenced as Ambush tallied three runs a piece in the next three consecutive innings. Trevor Lowe, John Fox Cence and Jack Alston all had two hits each. Cence also led the way with 4 RBIs. Jack Alston pitched out of multiple jams going 2.1 innings and striking out 5. John Fox Cence pitched 1.2 of shutout baseball and Ambush sealed a 13-3 championship title win! Highlight on the game was Asher Martin’s 8-3 double play to end the game. He tracked down a fly ball in the RightCenter gap and turned and fired to first for the double play!

John Fox Cence won the Effort Chain and Asher Martin won the Golden Glove.
