Coach John was a 2005 AL All-State selection at SCCHS. He then pitched four four years in college.Â
Sumerel is the Ambush pitching coach and one of the base coaches. During practices, you can see Coach John working with pitchers, first-basemen and the outfield. Coach John is one of the co-host of the popular podcast, Behind the 'bush.
